Why Choose Natalie?

I am a clinical social worker and psychotherapist with a passion for supporting people and families through difficult transitions in their lives. Working through life transitions can come in a variety of different forms—whether it be adjusting to a new job, becoming a first-time parent, being diagnosed with a serious illness, as well as a range of other things.

My goal as a therapist is to help my clients gain a better understanding of your feelings, moods and behaviors throughout these transitions, and in turn, help you to better manage and cope.

I have special expertise in cancer settings, chronic illness, parenting, caregiving, and burnout. I spent many years working to support cancer patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where I also served as a clinical supervisor during my time there. This experience deepened my understanding of the complex emotional and psychological challenges faced by individuals and families coping with serious illness.

Because I have worked with individuals at all life stages, I have been able to develop a practice tailored to each individual. I combine many therapeutic modalities, to ensure the right fit for each person, injecting humor and levity along the way.

With over 15 years of experience and my Master of Clinical Social Work from New York University, my approach is rooted in empathy, evidence-based practices, and a deep commitment to empowering clients to find their own path to healing and growth.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your approach to therapy?

My approach integrates evidence-based practices with compassionate, personalized care tailored to your unique journey. I believe therapy is a partnership where we work together to create meaningful change. I provide individualized care, considering the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

What techniques do you use?

I utilize multiple evidence-based therapeutic methods proven effective for various mental health concerns. My techniques are tailored to each client's specific needs and may include cognitive-behavioral approaches, psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused strategies, and interpersonal therapy. I stay current with the latest research to provide you with the best care.

What are your fees?

Fees are discussed at the time of the appointment request, as they may vary depending on the type of therapy you're seeking. If finances are a concern, I offer a limited number of reduced-fee sessions based on availability. I'm committed to working collaboratively to find a plan that supports your access to care.

Do you accept insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance directly. However, many of my clients have out-of-network benefits that they use to receive partial reimbursement for our sessions. If you're interested in using your out-of-network coverage, I'm happy to guide you through the process—step by step. I can help you determine whether you have these benefits and how to submit claims to your insurance provider, so you can make the most of your coverage.

How long are sessions?

Individual therapy sessions are typically 45–50 minutes long. This duration allows sufficient time to explore concerns meaningfully while maintaining a focused, structured approach. Session frequency is determined collaboratively based on your individual needs and treatment goals.
